Bankcard Processing

Your membership with the Michigan Lumber & Building Materials Association offers you tremendous savings on bankcard processing through a  partnership with Michigan Retail Services, Inc (MRS).  As one of the largest and most established credit card processors in the United States, MRA handles credit card processing for thousands of Michigan businesses.

MRA services all major cards-Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express-and offers a variety of deposit options. Special rates are available for retailers with a high average ticket. There are no extra fees for setup, supplies, charge-backs, terminal reprogramming and address verification.

Point-of-sale debit card processing is also available, offering smaller transaction fees, increased customer convenience and reduced risk of fraud.

Kinedyne has grown over four decades to be recognized as the leader in cargo control products and has set the standard in the cargo control industry.


Winches
Kinedyne winches provide a method for securing cargo on flatbed trailers, rail cars and other vehicles. Kinedyne also offers a wide variety of styles to ensure the correct winch is available for each application.

 

Winch Straps
Kinedyne offers a full line of 2", 3" and 4" winch straps. All winch straps are made from resin-coated polyester for minimum stretch and maximum wear resistance. These rugged straps provide the strength and durability demanded in flatbed tie-down requirements.

 

Ratchet Straps

Designed to handle most types of flatbed tie-down requirements. Standard ratchet straps have an 18" fixed end as standard, except for straps with 3705-2 and 3705-3 chain anchors which have a fixed end of 32". Special length fixed ends are available as a special order.

 

Rhino Web

A new, more durable and abrasion resistant webbing for cargo control tie-down straps, "Rhino Web" yields 30% more tensile strength after severe abrasion and is 30% thicker with a tougher surface.

Drug & Alcohol Administration Program

The US (DOT) Department of Transportation requires a CDL driver operating a vehicle with a Gross Combination Weight Rating of 26,001 lbs or more be enrolled in a Drug and Alcohol testing program.  MLBMA provides an easy and economical way to meet these requirements.

MLBMA's complete, comprehensive drug and alcohol testing program will ensure that you comply with Federal Department of Transportation regulations. Let the Association remove the burden of compliance.  Our program includes collection, testing, MRO services, required drug and alcohol policies, and all recordkeeping.

Program Benefits

Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortium:

  • We register your company (or owner/operator) in a pool with many other drivers. This collection of drivers, called a Consortium, is managed in accordance with Federal Requirements 49 CFR Part 40. Your enrollment in this Consortium, is a key element in meeting the federal regulations. While enrolled in the Consortium you have full access to our knowledgeable staff. We will work to help you stay in compliance with the drug and alcohol testing rules set forth by the Department of Transportation. 
  • All recordkeeping as required by state and federal law is handled by MLBMA.
  • Quarterly and annual reports are prepared by MLBMA, saving you time and money and assuring your compliance.
  • A statewide network of collection sites and Evidential Breath Testing Facilities.
  • Samples collected at a local medical facility of your choice.

Drivers Daily Log
Book format - 31 sets of forms per book, 2-ply with or without carbon. These easy to use books have duty status regulations printed on the inside back cover. Monthly summary sheet and seven and eight day recap helps drivers determine hours available.

Driver’s Guide to the (FMCSRS)
The Driver’s Guide to the FMCSRS explains the regulations in plain language—so drivers can know their responsibilities and be better able to prevent violations and contribute to overall safety.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRS)
Both of these convenient, affordable books contain word-for-word reprints of DOT’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, plus periodic inspection standards. The Reference Edition includes DOT interpretations and medical regulatory criteria.

Driver Qualification Files
Driver Confidential Record file folder meets ADA and FMCSR requirements to maintain medical information separate and confidential from the Driver Qualification File. The front of the folder features a checklist of suggested paperwork, and handy top tab has a space for the driver’s name.

Driver Medical Exam (Physical) Report
The Medical Exam Report is eight pages and contains applicable regulations, instructions to the medical examiner, and the form itself.

Driver Medical Examiner’s Certificate
The Medical Examiner’s Certificate is 4 1/4” wide x 4” long, and can be folded to a tent-style wallet card. 2-ply carbonless form.

Driver Handbooks
DOT requires that employers provide materials to drivers that include a discussion of 11 specific issues. The handbook is an affordable way to address the issues of drug and alcohol testing.
