"Mark Roose, grandfather of the current co-management team, borrowed enough money in the early 30s from anyone who would lend it to him to purchase 51% of the operation. He incorporated the company in 1934 and named it Ulrich Lumber & Builder's Supply." "He was the sole employee for a time and would literally unlock the front door, let in a customer; lock the door; load and deliver the lumber; come back and let the next customer in the front door."
