- MLBMA Publishes Overview of Changes to the
Michigan Construction Lien Act.
Changes to the Michigan Construction Lien Act that went into affect in early January, provides more consistent funding mechanisms for the Construction Lien Recovery Fund--some additional protection for suppliers, some new requirements for suppliers relative to due diligence and credit extension, and additional requirements for contractors relative to waivers. The overview covers the following topics:
